Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The HC5 value for C6 alkanes and alkenes is 110µg/L.

The HC5 value for C9 alkanes and alkenes is 1.7µg/L.

Long-term ecotoxicity data are not required for diisopropylether. Due to its physical properties diisopropyl ether volatilises rapidly form water and long term exposure of aquatic organisms does not occur.

Long-term toxicity to Daphnia data are not required for 1-propanol as there are no indications of chronic hazard for the substance based on a QSAR prediction giving a 21 day NOEC of 68.3 mg/L (based on reproduction).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The registered substance is made up of a number of constituents and constituent groups, and long-term ecotoxicity endpoints are completed using an assessment entity approach based on key constituents, rather than using whole substance data. PNECs were derived considering the lower effect levels for the representative constituents (diisopropylether, 1-propanol, C6 alkanes and alkenes and C9 alkanes and alkenes) and the risk assessment has been conducted accordingly. For further information on the selection of the constituents and their inclusion in the risk assessment see Section 9 of the CSR.
