Additional information

DTPA has a low octanol-water partition coefficient (Kow) and a high water solubility. If released to water the compound will tend to remain in the water compartment. The substance has a low potential for adsorption to soil or sediments or bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms. DTPA is hydrolytically stable in water but susceptable to photodegradation in water. DTPA will react with hydroxyl radicals in the atmosphere with an estimated half-life of 0.06 days. DTPA is expected to slowly biodegrade in the environment.
