Accurately weighed a 180 µm sieve and an empty pan. Accurately weighed 10.33 g of test substance into the sieve. Place sieve and pan on a sieve shaker and shook for 10 minutes. Re-weighed the sieve and the pan. Calculated the percentage of particles that were less than 180 µm. The particles less than 180 µm were analysed for particle size distribution using a Beckman Coulter LS 230 Particle Size Analyzer.
