In accordance with Annex VII column 2 adaptation of REACH, the study does not need to be conducted since the structure of the substance does not to have functional or chemical groups associated with or that could imply explosivity.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex VII column 2 adaptation of REACH, testing for explosiveness of amides, C16-18 (even-numbered) and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) is not deemed necessary based on its chemical structure i.e. it does not contain any chemical groups associated with explosive properties considering the guidance provided in the section R.7.1.11.3 of Chapter R.7a: REACH Technical Guidance Document.
