Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Eye contact: Hold eyelids apart and flush eyes with a steady, gentle stream of water for several minutes. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
- Skin contact: Wash skin with soap and water. Generally the product does not irritate skin.
- Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
- Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
- General advice: In case of doubt or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
- Extinguishing media: All extinguishing media can be used. Use suitable media appropriate for the surrounding fire.
- Inappropriate extinguishing media: none
- Unusual fire and explosion hazards: none
- Protective measures: Use protective equipment appropriate for surrounding materials.
- Flash point: Non-combustible.
- Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions: Avoid dust formation. In case of exposure to high levels of airborne dust, wear a personal respirator in compliance with national legislation. Wear protective clothing.
- Environmental precautions: The substance does not present any particular risk to the environment. Refer to applicable national, state and local regulations prior to washing in drain.
- Clean-up methods: Collect mechanically and/or by flushing with water. Avoid dry sweeping. Use water spraying or ventilated vacuum system to prevent dust formation.
Handling and storage
- Handling: Avoid dust formation. Keep receptacles tightly sealed. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation in places where dust is formed. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed. Prevent static electric sparks.
- Fire and explosion protection: Earth container to avoid electric sparks, especially in contact with flammable substances.
- Storage: Keep containers closed and protect from physical damage. Store in a dry area. The product is hygroscopic. Store away from foodstuffs.
Storage class: 13 (according to VCI)

Additional information
- Special provisions / remarks / other:
- Not dangerous according to the above specifications.
GRACE recommendation for air transport: Cargo aircraft only.
Exposure controls / personal protection
- Exposure limit values:
AGW (ALVEO) (Germany): Short-term value: 6 A mg/m³; Long-term value: 3 A mg/m³; TRGS 900 2.4 Abs. 8, 9 in Verbindung mit Abs. 10
AGW (EINATEM) (Germany): Short-term value: 20 E mg/m³; Long-term value: 10 E mg/m³; TRGS 900 2.4 Abs. 7 2.4 Abs. 11
- Engineering controls: Use mechanical ventilation (dilution and local exhausts) to control exposure.
- Respiratory protection: If the AGW value is exceeded, Filter P2
- Eye protection: Safety glasses with side shields.
- Skin and body protection: Use suitable protective clothing, gloves and footwear, selected with regard for use conditions and exposure potential.
- Hand protection: Wear gloves for the protection against mechanical hazards according to EN 388. Use gloves of stable material (e.g. nitrile), if necessary tricoted to improve the wearability. Preventive skin protection by use of skin-protecting agents is recommended. After use of gloves apply skin-cleaning agents and skin cosmetics.
Material of gloves: EN 388: minimum requirement for efficiency level 1 for all groups. The selection of suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Butyl rubber, BR; nitrile rubber, NBR.
Recommended thickness of the material: >=0.11 mm
Permeation time of glove material: EN 420: Minimum requirements for efficiency level 1 for all groups. For the substance, the permeation time must be 480 min at least (permeation according to EN 374 part 3: level 6).
- Respiratory protection: In case of exposure to high levels of airborne dust, wear a personal respirator in compliance with national legislation.
- Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
- Environmental exposure: The substance does not present any particular risk for the environment. Refer to applicable national, state and local regulations prior to washing in drain.
Stability and reactivity
- Stability: Stable under ambient temperatures (21°C) and pressure (760 mm Hg).
- Conditions to avoid: none
- Materials to avoid: none
- Hazardous decomposition products: none
Disposal considerations
Dispose in accordance with local, state and national regulations.
