- Category 3 (mild irritant) based on GHS criteria
- Conclusions:
- Based on a group mean 24+48+72 hour erythema score of >2 (2.13) 1-hexanol would be classified as irritant according to EU criteria. Although individual scores are not reported 6 animals were used and it is considered that 1-hexanol will be classified as a mild irritant according to GHS criteria.
