Description of key information

Commercially available auto-ignition temperatures apparatus was used for the determination of the degree of auto-ignitability of bis(2-chloroethoxy) methane.

The test substance is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature at 1013.3 – 1014.9 hPa of 395°C (668.15 kelvin).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
668.2 K
