The partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of Triisodecylbenzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate CAS No 36631-30-8 has been determined to be greater than 2.5 x 109, log10 Pow greater than 9.4, using the HPLC method.
Guideline 117 states that the HPLC method covers log Pow values in the range of 0 to 6, however, these results are considered valid as a reference substance with a higher known log Pow value outside of those listed in the guideline has been used in this study (1-Phenyltridecane, which has a log Pow of 9.4), in order to obtain a meaningful result via extrapolation.
