Description of key information

The 21 d EC50 and NOEC in Daphnia magna were 1.1 and 0.54 mg/L, respectively, for effects on reproduction.

Additional information

One key study is provided. The study, published by the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (Japan) was conducted in accordance with the standardised guideline OECD 211 under GLP conditions. The available data suggested that the study should be awarded a reliability score of 2 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality as set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

Daphnia magna were exposed to 2,6-xylenol for 21 days. The 21 d EC50 and NOEC were 1.1 and 0.54 mg/L, respectively, for effects on reproduction.
