In accordance with column 2 of Annex IX, the study on simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water and sediment does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. The substance is already tested to be readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. Hence, no further testing on biodegradation e. g. in surface water or sediment is performed.
