Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

To determine the toxicity of 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol to aquatic invertebrates, a static non-GLP study following the method laid down in Directive 79/831/EEC, method C.2 using Daphnia magna was performed. The calculated EC50 (48h) value in this study was >500 mg/L, related to the nominal concentration and for a neutralized sample (BASF SE 1990). No analytical verification was performed during the study. However, it is assumed that the test concentrations remained stable over the exposure period based on a sufficient water solubility, a low Henry's Law constant and a low adsorption potential (log Kow and log Koc < 3).
