Additional information

In a non-GLP guideline study according to OECD 202, an EC50 was determined at 740 mg/L in Daphnia magna. Though some deviations from the guideline were employed (e.g. study period of 24 h (as in OECD 202; 1984) instead of 48 h, very high vehicle concentration) the test is considered to be valid.

The test concentrations are well above the solubility limit of the test substance (water solubility < 4 µg/L, see chapter 4.8 in IUCLID). Therefore, they represent a worst case assumption where water solubility is achieved by excessive use of solvent. Therefore, no toxic effects occur at the range of solubility.
