Description of key information

The toxicity of magnesium acrylate to algae was determined in a growth inhibition test according to OECD Guideline 201, using Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata as test organism. The ErC50 was determined to be 4.9 mg/L and the ErC10 to be 1.1 mg/L based on 48 % magenesium acrylate aqueous solution.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
4.9 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
1.1 mg/L
