Description of key information

In contact with water the substance will hydrolyse slowly.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test item is a UVCB substance, including a phosphat part and an amine part. The amine constituents of the test substance are generally resistant to hydrolysis because they do not contain any labile functional groups. Regarding the phosphat constituents a study according to OECD 111 is available. At pH 4 and 9 less than 10 % of hydrolysis was observed. In addition, no increase of the expected hydrolysis product n-hexanol was observed. Half-life for hydrolysis was not determined. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the phosphate components are hydrolytically stable as well.
