Description of key information

The Handbook of Chemical Property Estimation Methods was used to estimate the bioaccumulation factor of DMCHA. The following figures were derived: 
BCF – 19.84 (Based on a measured log Pow of 2.01. from the equation log BCF=0.76*logPow-0.23)
BCF – 35.66 (Based on a measured log Pow of 2.01. from the equation log BCF=2.791-0.564logS.)

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the study need not be conducted since the substance has a log Kow ≤ 3. The target substance Cyclohexanamine, N,N-dimethyl- (CAS 98-94-2) has an estimated log Kow of 2.31 (BASF SE, 2015; KOWWIN v1.68).

However, in order to assess the bioaccumulation potential of the test substance, the BCF was calculated with several estimation models. The table below lists the applied (Q)SAR models, the estimated BCF values and basic information on the applicability domain (AD). Detailed information on the model’s results and the AD are given in the endpoint study records of IUCLID Chapter 5.3.1. The selected models comply with the OECD principles for (Q)SAR models.
