Description of key information

Long-term studies on fish using sodium perborate as test substance are not available.
The environmental risk assessment for long-term aquatic effects of sodium perborate should consider boric acid. In ECB (2009), Brachydanio rerio was identified as the most sensitive fish in long-term tests, a 34d-NOEC of 1.8 mg B/L is reported.
