Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
1. General information:
If large quantity is ingested, seek medical attention.
2. Inhalation:
Remove the subject from dusty environment and let him blow his nose.
3. Skin contact:
Remove contaminated clothing, if necessary under a shower. Flush skin with water.
4. Eye contact:
Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids open. If opening the eyelids is difficult, administer an analgesic eyewash
5. Ingestion:
Rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting.
6. Special notes to a physician:
If conscious and not convulsing drink plenty of water. Do not inducevomiting. If the subject is unconscious, lay him/her on his/her left side, loosen collar and tight clothing.
Fire-fighting measures
1. Common extinguishing media: Water, dry chemicals, foam, carbon dioxide
2. Not to be used: /
3. Unusual fire and explosion hazards: /
4. Hazardous thermal decomposition and combustion products:
Oxygen release due to exothermic decomposition may support combustion
5. Other precautions:
Move containers away if possible. Warn personnel of the dangers of the product.
Accidental release measures
1. Personal precautions:
Protective clothing.
2. Environmental precautions:
Dilute with plenty of water. In the event of a larger spill, notify the appropriate authorities.
3. Cleanup methods:
Sweep up into a suitable container for disposal.
4. Further information:
Respect the protective measures given in sections fire-fighting measures and Exposure controls/Personal protection
Handling and storage
1. Handling:
Never return the product to its original container.
1.1. Safe handling advice:
Wear protective clothing. Operate in a well-ventilated area.
1.2. Fire and explosion prevention advice:
Keep away from incompatible products.
72. Storage:
Store in a cool and dry area away from incompatible compounds, sources of heat and direct sunlight..2.1. Suitable materials for packaging and storing:
99,5 % Aluminium, stainless steel 304L and 316L, HDPE.
2.2. Incompatible products:
Reducing agents, salts of heavy metals, combustibles.
2.3. Further information on storage conditions:
Warn personnel of the dangers of the product. Regularly check the state of containers.
