Additional information

According to REACH regulation Annex VII column 2, the study does not need to be conducted, if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. As outlined in TGD R 7a; there is no structural alert, no chemical groups associated with explosive properties (according to adapted data from Bretherick, 1999) present in Struvite and therefore a study on explosiveness does not need to be conducted.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) of the United Nations (2007) and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures the substance is not classified.
