Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

A Buehler study was conducted with Glycerol, propoxylated >1-<6.5 according to OECD 406. Male and Female Dunkin Hartley guinea pigs (10 males and 10 females) received 0.5 undiluted test substance. Propoxylated glycerol mw 300 is not a skin sensitizer when tested using the Buehler technique. Since both, core molecule (glycerol) and stuctural analogue (Glycerol, propoxylated >1-<6.5) are not sensitizing, it can reliably concluded that Glycerol, ethoxylated >1-<6.5 is not skin sensitizing.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
Non sensitizer in OECD 406 Buehler test with structural analog Glycerol, propoxylated >1-<6.5.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no study available

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as a skin senitiser.
