Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to microorganisms
Type of information:
migrated information: read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
03-1994
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: study conducted according to national standard method without detailed documentation. The chemical structure of the individual constituents of the supporting substance is the same, the carbon chain length distribution is very similar.

Conclusions:
In a 16 hour toxicity study, the cultures of Pseudomonas putida were exposed to Tego-Amid 5040 at nominal concentrations of 0, 20; 30; 40; 45; 50; 55; 60; 70; 80 mg/l under static conditions in accordance with the DIN 38412, part 8. The EC10 and EC50values based on growth inhibition were 22 and 38 mg/l, respectively.  The % growth inhibition in the treated algal culture as compared to the control ranged from 15 to 99.
