Measurement #4 was performed because of the discrepancy between measurements #2 and #3. In view of the result, measurement #2 was rejected as too low. The flash point is taken as the rounded mean value of the two measurements that are in satisfactory agreement (#3 and #4), giving a value of 129 °C. The mean atmospheric pressure was 100.3 kPa for the two selected values; the result quoted is corrected to standard atmospheric pressure, 101.3 kPa. Based on the general experience with the method, the error is quoted as ± 2°C.
