PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
PBT assessment does not apply
Justification:

* P criterion.

The substance is readily biodegradable and therefore is considered as not persistent.

* B criterion.

Bioaccumulation is not foreseen due to the low partition with octanol of the active ingredient, i.e. logPow= -0.3 at pH 5, logPow= -2.3 at pH 7 and logPow= -2.3 at pH 9, at 22ºC. Furthermore the substance is rapidly metabolized and excreted as indicated by kinetic studies in mammals.

* T criterion.

The more sensitive taxa is algae, and its NOECr is 0.10 mg/l. The substance is not classified as carcinogen, mutagen or toxic to reproduction or for target organ toxicity after repeated exposureTherefore the MBAA does not fulfil the T criterium
