Calibration of HPLC system

The r² fit was 0.9999 (optimum 1.0000). This reflects the suitability of the HPLC-system within the calibration range of 4.825 μg/mL to 96.5 μg/mL of the test item.

Trapping efficacy

The trapping efficiency of the test item in the first cooling trap was very good. 100% of the test item was trapped in the first cooling trap.

Vapour pressure curve for extrapolation

The logarithm of the measured vapour pressure was fitted against 1/T. The following equation was obtained:

ln(VP) = - 13971.86 · 1/T + 36.68, where

VP: Vapour pressure [Pa]

T: Temperature [K]

The coefficient of determination was r²=0.9985.

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure was determined to be 1.7E-05 Pa at 20 °C and 3.8E-05 Pa at 25 °C by extrapolation. The study is considered to be adequate and reliable.
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test item was determined according to the OECD guideline No. 104, “Vapour Pressure” (2006).

The gas saturation method was chosen for the determination. The test was performed at 79.3, 59.6 and 48.8 °C. The amount of transferred test item in each of the condensation tubes was determined by HPLC analysis and the vapour pressure at the test temperatures was determined. The vapour pressure of the test item at 25 °C and at 20 °C was extrapolated from the obtained vapour pressure curve according to the simplified Clausius-Clapeyron equation and was calculated to be 1.7E-05 Pa at 20 °C and 3.8E-05 Pa at 25 °C.
