Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Low viscous organic liquid: dynamic viscosity (DIN 51562 / ASTM D 445) 0.5066 mPa s (20°C)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
0.507 mPa · s (dynamic)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Viscosity was determined using the capillary viscosimeter method (kinematic viscosity; DIN 51562 / ASTM D 445; mean of two determinations) at 20°C and 40°C:

0.688 mm^2/s at 20°C, corresponding to a dynamic viscosity of 0.5066 mPa s.

0.549 mm^2/s at 40°C.

The laboratory complied with a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 : 2008 and DIN EN ISO 14001 : 2005

Based on the kinematic viscosity of the test item at 40°C of 0.549 mm^2/s, a classification for aspiration toxicity according to REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) is to be considered: However, as the submission substance is an aliphatic amine and cleary not a hydrocarbon (CLP), and neither a derivative thereof (like chlorinated hydrocarbons, primary alcohols or ketones as considered under UN-GHS), there are definitely no classification requirements with regard to aspiration hazard.
