Description of key information

Method
The explosive properties were predicted using Method A14 Explosive Properties of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.
Procedure
The empirical formula of the test item was assessed for chemical groups that imply explosive properties.
Results
The test item is a sulfochlorinated linear C14-C17 paraffin. The empirical formula suggests no groups that would imply explosive properties.
Conclusion
Based on the empirical formula of Sulfoclor LF 1013, the result for the explosive properties has been predicted to be negative.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The empirical formula of the test item was assessed for chemical groups that imply explosive properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Conclusion.

Based on the empirical formula of Sulfoclor LF 1013, the result for the explosive properties has been predicted to be negative.
