Description of key information

Calculated vapour pressure at 20°C: <0.001 Pa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the vapour pressure of a substance may be determined using (Q)SAR modelling if melting point of the substance is between 200 and 300°C. As the melting point of Allantoin was determined to be 229°C, the vapour pressure was assessed using (Q)SAR calculation via MPBPWIN v. 143.

Calculated vapour pressures are: 8.9 x 10-8 Pa (solid) and 1.8 x 10-5 Pa (subcooled liquid). These very low values are considered negligible. For ecotoxicological purpose the vapour pressure is therefore quoted as <0.001 Pa.
