Description of key information

Dihydrogen hexafluorotitanate is an aqueous solution (containing hydrogen ions and hexafluorotitanate complexes), which does not contain a surplus of oxygen or any structural groups known to be correlated with a tendency to react exothermally with combustible material. Thus, an experimental study is not required (cf. section 7.13 Column 2 Annex VII of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Dihydrogen hexafluorotitanate is an aqueous solution (containing hydrogen ions and hexafluorotitanate complexes), which does not contain a surplus of oxygen or any structural groups known to be correlated with a tendency to react exothermally with combustible material. Thus, an experimental study is not required (cf. section 7.13 Column 2 Annex VII of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006) and hazard classification is not necessary.
