Additional information

The acute toxicity of sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate (CAS No. 128-04-1) to Oncorhynchus mykiss was investigated by Van der Kerken (2003). This test was conducted according to OECD No. 203, Fish, Acute Toxicity Test (1992) and GLP. Fishes were exposed to the test material for 96 hours under a semi-static water regime (medium renewal took place every 24 hours). Mortality was observed at the two highest concentrations tested (0.57 and 1.13 mg a.i./L), resulting in a LC50 = 0.76 mg a.i./L. Additionally, other effects as reduced movement and weakness were reported (at concentrations of 0.28, 0.57 and 1.13 mg a.i./L).
