Conclusion on classification

Based on the acute toxicity studies, fish was found to be the most sensitive species among the three trophic levels. The deviation between the nominal loading rates of the test substance was less than the measured concentrations in each of the acute toxicity studies (fish, daphnid and algae). Therefore, the effect levels for classification purpose could be determined based on the initial loading rates. Based on the lowest acute toxicity value (short term fish LC50) of 13 mg/L (nominal) and non-ready biodegradability of the substance, it is concluded that the substance is hazardous to the aquatic environment, with Aquatic Chronic Cat. 3 (H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects) classification according to EU CLP regulation (EC/1272/2008) criteria.
