Additional information

Direct Brown 44 was tested for determination of the biodegradability after 28 days with 20% active material (Lot: 2612787). For the Determination of the Biodegradability, the method OECD 302B (1992) and Royal Decree 363/1995 (BOE no. 133, June 1995) was applied. Biodegradation is defined as the decomposition of an organic compound on the biological action of microorganisms, as results in the disappearance of the original molecular structure and the formation of smaller organic molecules. The results are expressed as percentage of biodegradation at 28 days.

The results obtained in this study indicate that the substance presents a rate of biodegradation of 61% in 28 days.
