Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

It is proposed that simulation testing on biodegradability in sediment is not required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Simulation testing on biodegradation in sediments is not required since exposure of sediments is unlikely. The substance 1-chlorobutane is inherently biodegradable, photochemically degraded in water and air and highly volatile with low adsorption potential to soils (kow<3).
