Additional information

The method used to determine the water solubility of FORMAMIDOPROPYLBETAINE was based on the following guidelines: OECD guideline for testing of chemicals no. 105: "Water Solubility", Adopted July 27, 1995.

EEC Directive 92/69 EEC, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.6: "Water solubility", EEC Publication no. L383, December 1992.

A mixture of 2.16 g test substance and 1 ml double distilled water was stirred for 20 hours at 20.2 ± 0.6 °C. After the stirring period, the solution was clear and no undissolved test substance was observed visually. Based on this, it was concluded that the water solubility of the test substance is > 2160 g/l at 20.2 ± 0.6 °C. The pH was measured to be 5.8.
