Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

EC50 measured values: >100mg/l (48hr), >10000mg/l (24hr), >10000mg/l (48hr) respectively. Training value from QSAR for DEG of 50.5mg/l.
QSAR LC50 (48hr) values: 16, 47, 115g/l respectively.

Additional information

Measured data is available for all three constituents, but not in ideal form to establish an unequivocal value for the EC50. One study is only a limit study for classification purposes and another is only a 24 hour study. QSAR data suggests a very low level of toxicity and that the toxicity decreases with increasing molecular weight of the series. From the data available, it seems reasonable and sufficiently conservative to establish a key parameter of 10000mg/l for the EC50 in daphnia. There is no data available in salt water species.
