Description of key information

Diisononyl adipate will slowly evaporate from the water surface into the atmosphere.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No studies investigating the Volatility of Diisononyl adipate (DINA) are available. Volatilisation is not a standard requirement according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. However, the Henry´s law constant at 25°C was calculated using HENRYWIN v3.10. Based on the bond estimate a Henry´s law constant was calculated to be 9.21 Pa*m3/mole indicating that DINA will slowly evaporate from the water surface into the atmosphere.
