Conclusions:
Based on the results obtained the following vapour pressures at 20 °C and 25 °C were calculated for 1,1'-(1,1,2,2-tetramethylethylene)dibenzene using the regression equation:
Vapour pressure at 20 °C: 1.53E-02 Pa
Vapour pressure at 25 °C: 2.65E-02 Pa
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test item 1,1'-(1,1,2,2-tetramethylethylene)dibenzene was determined at four different temperatures (30, 45, 60, 75 °C) using the effusion method (weight loss) according to EU A.4. The measurements at 30 °C showed no reproducible weight loss. Therefore, the results received at this temperature were not included in the evaluation. As the cells were empty upon visual inspection after the third measurement series at 75 °C, the weights of the third measurement day at 75 °C were not used for evaluation. All measured values of the three evaluated experiments show good reproducibility, giving relative standard deviations of less than 30 %, and good correlation.

For the test item, the following vapour pressures at 20 °C and at 25 °C were calculated from the regression equation:

Vapour pressure at 20 °C: 1.53E-02 Pa

Vapour pressure at 25 °C: 2.65E-02 Pa

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the test item 1,1'-(1,1,2,2-tetramethylethylene)dibenzene was determined at four different temperatures (30, 45, 60, 75 °C) using the effusion method (weight loss) according to EU A.4. Based on the results obtained the following vapour pressures at 20 °C and 25 °C were calculated using the regression equation:

Vapour pressure at 20 °C: 1.53E-02 Pa

Vapour pressure at 25 °C: 2.65E-02 Pa
