Additional information

The Pocket Guide presents key information and data from the US Department of Health and Human Services and as such is a reliable governmental source of information and is considered a suitable key study source for this endpoint (NIOSH 2005). This is supported by a boiling point of between 170°C and 172°C from the WHO ICSC (2005). The test substance decomposes at this temperature range. No information on the primary source of the data or the methods used is available. However, this information is taken from a reliable peer reviewed database and so can be considered reliable and suitable for use for this endpoint.

The boiling point of commercial DCPD was taken from proprietary data (DOW 2016). There is no information on the GLP status of the study or the methods used but the results are taken from company specific datasheets and are considered to be suitable for use for this endpoint.
