Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The log Koc of 2-dimethylaminoethyl acrylate was calculated to be 1.1 at 25 °C (corresponding Koc =  12.47) using SRC KocWin v2.00 (BASF SE, 2009). The calculated log Koc refers to the uncharged molecule.

The pKa value (8.41) indicates that the molecule will exist charged in the environment. Therefore, the Koc was calculated for the charged molecule according to the calculation presented by Franco & Trapp (2008). The result showed a log Koc of 3.15 - 3.82 (corresponding Koc = 1404 - 6584) depending on the assumed pH (5.0 - 7.0). The higher the pH value, the lower was the Koc due to a lesser degree of dissociation of the molecule.

However, the substance is unstable under environmental conditions.
