Description of key information

No sensitisation potential was reported for DIPA in a Buehler test with guinea pigs, performed according to OECD guideline 406.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

Sensitisation potential was evaluated in a Buehler test (according to OECD guideline 406, under GLP) using Hartley guinea pigs (10 males). During a 3-week induction period, DIPA was given as 3 applications to the skin under occlusion at 50% and after two weeks, the animals were challenged with 50% DIPA again. No erythema was observed (1997, RL1).

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no study available
Additional information:

No data are available.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of the Buehler test, DIPA does not need to be classified according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
