Additional information

Following statement was made in the BUA Report 21:

"In studies on the toxicity of BCEE in the water flea, Daphnina magna, Le Blanc determined a LC50 (48 hrs) of 240 mg/L at a confidence interval (95%) of 170 - 330 mg/L by applying the 1975 EPA test method 660/3-75-009. The test containers were sealed in order to prevent losses of the ether assessed as easily volatile. The results were attained in a static test conducted at 22 °C. Total hardness as CaCO3 was 173 mg/L. The oxygen concentration was greater than 6.5 mg/L."

Based on the provided information in this reviewed assessment report, this information is considered sufficiently reliable for the further assessment of BCEE.
