Endpoint:
explosive properties of explosives
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2009
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Tested according to official UN-method and EU test method A.14. Purity > 99,9%
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.14 (Explosive properties)
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
one of each test
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual Tests and Criteria, Third revised edition.
Deviations:
not specified
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Koenen tests:
According to the EU test method, three tests at 6 and three tests at 2 mm have to be carried out. However, due to the toxicity of the decomposition product ZnO, the number of tests was limited. One test was carried out at 6 mm and one test was carried out at 2 mm. This limited number of tests will not reduce the reliability of the final conclusion, because the observed venting effect at 2 and at 6 mm is mild; even no deformation of the tube was observed.
GLP compliance:
no
Parameter:
other: Explosive (not specified)
Remarks:
migrated information
Remarks on result:
negative (not further specified)
Interpretation of results:
non explosive
Conclusions:
According to this report: The product has no explosive properties.
Executive summary:

According to this report: The product has no explosive properties.
