Description of key information

Experimentally determined pKa value is 9.79.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
9.79

Additional information

Since there are three nitrogens, three pKa values were to be expected. Two experimental values (9.79 and 4.60) were determined by potentiometric titration. Two of the protonated amines may have possibly titrated as a single endpoint. Calculationed pKa values of 9.43 and 10.53 were obtained using SPARC.

Exterimentally determined value is selected as most representative.
