According to a Mackay Level I model calculation, the main target compartment for the substance will be the water (99.996 %). The calculated Henry’s Law constant of 3.467E-7 Pa m³/mol at 20 °C indicates a very low volatility of the substance from surface waters. With a Koc of 20.98 l/kg, a low sorption potential of the substance to soil or sediment organic matter is expected (Blume scale).

The QSAR calculated rate constant for the OH sensitized photodegradation of the substance is approximately 252.38E-12 cm3/(molecule * s). At 500,000 OH radicals / cm3 (approximate 24-hour mean in central Europe), this corresponds to a half-life of 0.509 hours. Hydrolysis under environmental conditions is not to be expected.

No ready biodegradation could be expected. The partition coefficient 1-octanol/water was determined as log Kow =-0.66 at 20 °C indicating that a bioaccumulation is not to be expected.
