Emergency measure - Eyes: No specific measures to be taken

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, CO2, foam or dry powder extinguishers may be used.
In a fire, nitrogen oxides,aldehydes may be formed.
Respiratory equipment should be worn

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorb the solution with a suitable absorbant and
incinerate in a suitable furnace.

Handling and storage

Handling: Normal handling for chemicals, avoiding contact with skin.

Storage: No special precautions. In normal use the substance will be
a 20% aqueous emulsion

stored in polyethylene bags or steel containers.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: It is not possible to recover the substance after it is
fixed to the textile. 70-95% of the substance is fixed to
the textile during treatment and it is not feasible to
recover the rest.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal in a controlled discharge is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is possible Water purificaton System: Waste
water, after treating textiles, will contain 5-30% of the
substance. It will be discharged at low concentration.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable
