Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the present study the substance induce ≤ 10% acute immobilisation of Daphnia magna at 0.03 mg/L after 48 hours of exposure. The 48h-EC50 was estimated to correspond to 0.092 mg/L based on average exposure concentrations.
Executive summary:

The study procedures described in this report were based on the OECD guideline 202 and the test methods of the Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Part C.2, 2008.Twenty daphnia per test group (5 per vessel, 4 vessels) were exposed to a control and a dilution series representing 4.6, 10, 22, 46 and 100% of a WSF prepared at a loading rate of 100 mg/L.Measured concentrations were 0.016, 0.046, 0.12 and 0.28 mg/L in the groups containing 10, 22, 46 and 100% of the WSF, respectively. The concentrations measured after 48 hours decreased by approximately 50% in the three highest groups, while the measured concnetration for the 10% WSF decreased below the LOD (<0.00017 mg/L).

The 48 -h EC50 was estimated to correspond to 0.092 mg/L based on average exposure concentrations.
