Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No toxic effects up to the limit of water solubility (< 1 mg/L) for Daphnia magna (OECD 202)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the short-term toxicity of Fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., mixed esters with adipic acid and trimethylolpropane (CAS No. 91001-61-5) to aquatic invertebrates is available. The static study was conducted according to OECD guideline 202 using Daphnia magna as test organism (Häner, 2006). A 100 mg/L WAF was tested. A 48 h-EL50 is determined to be > 100 mg/L on the basis of the nominal test concentration.

Based on this result it can be concluded that no toxicological effects on aquatic invertebrates are expected up to the limit of water solubility for Fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., mixed esters with adipic acid and trimethylolpropane.
