Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The toxicity of chloroethane (CAS 75-00-3) to Pseudomonas putida was tested according to German guideline DIN 38412, part 8. The measured test substance concentrations were measured (geometric mean) 6.2, 23.8, 16.7, 20.0, 31.2, 61.8 and 142 mg/L. After an incubation time of 17 hours an EC10 (17 h) >= 140 mg/L was determined.

Based on the available data inhibitory effects of chloroethane (CAS 75-00-3) on aquatic microorganism activity are not anticipated.
