PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Pigment Orange 13 from the Disazo Pyrazolone Pigments group was assessed for PBT properties by TC NES Subgroup on Identification of PBT and vPvB Substances (PBT Working Group - PBT List No. 9). Summary of the evaluation as cited from this document: "The substance is not considered to be a PBT or vPvB substance. It does not meet the B (or vB) criterion. It is considered likely to meet the P criterion in order to fulfil its technical specification (it is a pigment)."

This is in line with the assessment summarized below:

Based on evaluation of the data described in the end point study record in IUCLID section 2.3 it is concluded here that the members of the Disazo Pyrazolone Pigments group

·   are not readily and not inherently biodegradable and are considered to fulfil the P criterion

·   are not fulfilling the B (or vB) criterion

·   and are not fulfilling the T criterion

and therefore are evaluated to be neither PBT nor vPvB substances.

Overall conclusion:

Based on the assessment described in the subsections below the submission substances of the group of Disazo Pyrazolone Pigments are not considered to be PBT /vPvB.

Likely routes of exposure:

The submission substances are not PBT or vPvB. Therefore no emission characterisation is required.
