Description of key information

If released into water, DPHP is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To assess the potential of DPHP to biodegrade, results of a GLP study carried out with non-adapted domestic sludge are available. The test procedures followed OECD guideline 301 B. In this test a degradation rate of 80 - 90% after 28 days was reported. The pass level of 60% of ThCO2 was reached within a 10-day window [BASF 2010].
