Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

ORAL: The NOAEL for chronic oral toxicity is based upon Study #004 (Ellis et al. 1984) for the two-year rat feeding study. This was used as the point-of-departure for the long-term oral DNEL (and the long-term inhalation DNEL, see below).

DERMAL: The LOAEL for local dermal effects is based upon Imoto et al. (1986). This study also identified a systemic NOAEL of 60 mg/kg-day for decreased neutrophil counts and increased heart and kidney weights.

INHALATION: There were no chronic inhalation studies from which to establish an effect level. For the derivation of the long-term inhalation DNELs, the chronic oral study (Ellis et al. 1984) was used as a point-of-departure.

Repeated dose toxicity: via oral route - systemic effects (target organ) cardiovascular / hematological: hematopoiesis; glandular: mammary gland

Repeated dose toxicity: dermal - systemic effects (target organ) other: skin
