Additional information

Hydrolysis of the parent compound 2-ethylhexyl chloroformate was tested in a GLP guideline study following OECD TG 111. At 25 °C and pH 7 the half-life was determined to be 30.2 min. The predicted hydrolysis products 2-ethylhexanol, HCl and CO2 were identified by gas chromatography with a mass selective detector (GC-MSD) (Safepharm, 2003).
